"Consistency in putting stems from creating consistently good starting positions – I call these constants and they are:
(1) Constant Eye Position,
(2) Constant Hand Position and
(3) Constant Ball Position.
If you start in exactly the same position every time then you will develop a putting stroke that repeats. The Optimizer prism consistently sets you in the correct position for executing the perfect putting stroke, every time.” [Peter Cowen]

Consistent set-up equals consistent putting stroke

Every putting Coach advocates that your eyes should be directly
above the ball and aligned with the target line. The parallax lines
on the Optimizer will only line up if you set your eyes in the correct
position and your hands are consistently in the same position on the
grip. Thus, with the help of the Optimizer prism, you will consistently
have the same starting positions, as advocated by Peter Cowen,
for all your different length putts
